Cyler Norman Conrad

My research focuses on understanding prehistoric husbandry practices in the American Southwest and Southeast Asia using stable isotope (δ¹³C_collagen, δ¹³C_apatite, δ¹⁵N and δ¹⁸O) analysis of animal bones. While my Ph.D. research explores the relationship between human subsistence and changing environments from the Pleistocene-Holocene transition through the transition to agriculture in Southeast Asia, I am currently involved in an investigation of turkey (Meleagris gallopavo) husbandry in the late prehistoric American Southwest.
